Axan means “now” in the Mexican Nahuatl language. The Axan Chair is inspired by the simplicity of Nordic design and the aesthetic lightness of Japanese furniture.
Its timeless design has a solid idea of showing its assembly and manufacturing, revealing the naturalness of the raw materials used. Versatile to expand a whole collection of seating pieces in various shapes and colors.
DESIGNER BIO
Braco & Gos was founded in 2015 by Emmanuel Hernández Martínez and Alvaro Basagoiti Pla-Font. Established in Mexico as a proposal that seeks to highlight the elements that make its design and a harmony prioritizing the idea of a design that understands its assembly.
Emmanuel is an Architect graduated from the University of the Americas Puebla, Mexico. Álvaro Basagoiti Pla-font has a degree in arts from the Ces Felipe II Complutense University of Madrid and both graduated from Elisava’s Master’s Degree in Furniture Design in the City of Barcelona, Spain.
They build their first furniture collection called Axan, which means “now” in the Mexican Nahuatl language. The Axan collection includes chairs, stools, side and dining tables.
