Upcycled Recycle Bin | 2024

Sino Group’s ‘GoCircular’ platform actively engages our colleagues, partners, and the community in promoting a Circular Economy, encouraging stakeholders to “reduce, reuse, and recycle.” Through this initiative, we are pioneering innovative solutions to tackle waste challenges and transform it into new opportunities. This includes collaborating with like-minded partners to develop sustainable construction materials and deploy upcycled furniture.

The company partnered with the team at Earth Element on this initiative. In conjunction with our strategic partner VCycle, which collects waste from corporate and retail sources, we ensure that plastic and glass bottles are transported to a sorting facility staffed by underprivileged elderly waste pickers, supported by NGO Unity One Charitable Association. After sorting, these materials are shredded and crushed using advanced machinery.

Earth Element employs an eco-friendly binding technology that combines crushed glass and plastic waste with natural minerals.

This innovative process transforms waste into exquisite products that boast high aesthetics and premium finishes, challenging the notion that upcycled items are unattractive or low-quality.

While waste is inevitable, recycling is essential. Across our 41 properties, we have installed 65 sets of recycling bins made from glass waste collected on-site by our Sino Property Services team.

Processed by VCycle and designed by Earth Element, each bin is crafted from 180 glass bottles, diverting two tons of glass from landfills. These elegant bins enhance our common areas with their stunning stone finish and subtle glass sparkle, illustrating that sustainability can seamlessly merge with aesthetic appeal.
