The Ramy project was born from the idea of creating a system of aggregable and modular modules from three individual upholstered elements. RAMY can be aggregated into an infinite system of compositions and “the joint” becomes the center of generation of each new project; accessories complete the offer to make the chosen composition even more articulated. Attention to the sustainability of the materials used makes the RAMY product in line with the concept of P.S.N., which stands for Project Sustainability and Nature.
Ramy is a modular system with strong sustainability features. The padding is composed of two materials: the first is recycled polyurethane foam derived from the agglomeration of bulky waste (sofas, mattresses) and production waste from the furniture and textile industries. The second material used for padding is thermobonded polyester fiber wadding, composed of at least 70 % polyester fiber obtained from white post-consumer recycled polyester containers.
The inner structure is 100% FSC-certified wood. The FSC label identifies products containing wood from forests that are properly and responsibly managed according to strict environmental, social, and economic standards. Finally, the fabric, Sealife by FIDIVI, is a multifunctional fabric made of SEAQUAL® YARN, a special polyester fiber containing about 10% recycled marine plastic and 90% post-consumer plastic of terrestrial origin. The recycled marine plastic comes from marine waste recovered from oceans, beaches, rivers, and estuaries.
SEALIFE, made with SEAQUAL® YARN, is GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certified, which guarantees the presence of post-consumer recycled materials in the fabric.
