This Swing is designed to look monolithic & fluid simultaneously with seat armrests & back merging into each other creating a sculptural look.

While it can be used as a swing it is designed to appear as an art form.

Cherry wood was chosen for this swing due to the ease of working with it to create a fluid form with layers fixed to each other to achieve the complex form. Cherry wood also lends itself to ebonizing to create a black polished swing, black being the preferred color for this.

Cherry wood is an American hardwood obtained by sustainable methods. The wood used for production is a very small percentage of the new forestation done in the region & therefore does not deplete the natural forests.

The Oyster as its name suggests is designed to be used by one person at a time with the sinuous form ensconcing the person sitting on it, with the utmost care taken in the ergonomics allowing one to ease their body within in a very relaxed position.
