The Fascio (“bundle” in Italian) Collection was inspired by the visual of natural light striking bundles of reeds that each absorb the light and emit it individually in pinpoints yet collectively in beautiful organic forms. This visual coupled with the idea of simple laboratory glass rods bundled together in elegant strappings is the concept behind Fascio.
The idea of organic meets tech, literally. The bundles can be only a few or a cluster, they can hang vertically or stand straight from the floor or be bundled like horizontal threads of pasta being carried from the market. The idea of simple elegance and style. At first glance, the lights appear simple, but they are technologically complex to design and engineer.
The technology wasn’t there to do these even three years ago – the Fascio Collection is a true exploration. It brings LED technology to new levels of contemporary warmth. With Fascio, LED can turn into a romantic and moody light source. The challenge was to utilize LED technology and improve upon it, removing the glare, yet not allowing it to appear too flat. The result is a beautiful, incandescent ambient light that radiates a glow from its center, while fading as it reaches the fixture’s edge. The crystal rods help reduce the glare, as the light is refracted in them.
The collection, which includes sconces and pendants, is manufactured from highly refined, watery smooth cut crystal wrapped in textured and smooth brass sleeves. Crystal was selected because it produces the right balance of sparkle and luxurious glow; wrapped in textured/smooth brass sleeves.
Choice of three finishes: Hand-rubbed Antique Brass, Polished Nickel, Bronze. Bridging the contract/hospitality markets and the residential market, the collection raises the level of design but is still sensitive to residential. It is contemporary, yet warm, well-proportioned, and perfectly detailed.

DESIGNER BIO
Lauren Rottet is a highly accomplished architect, interior designer, furniture designer and art curator with an extraordinary record of awards, publications, lectures, juries and honors. She is the Founding Principal of Rottet Studio, an international architecture and interior design firm, and is the only woman in history to be elevated to Fellow status by both the American Institute of Architects and International Interior Design Association.
She also holds the titles of Interior Design Hall of Fame, Interiors Designer of the Year, Boutique Design’s Designer of the Year, and Hospitality Design Platinum Circle inductee. Ms. Rottet’s furniture and product designs have earned her four gold medals for Best of NeoCon and a Chicago Athenaeum Award. Her new furniture company, Rottet Collection, was introduced in 2017 and was met with rave reviews garnering significant awards including an Interior Design Best of Year.
