“This design is a joyful expression of Old World elegance merged with 21st-century perspective – acknowledging history and the warmth it brings up, while looking ahead,” says the designer, acclaimed architect and designer Lauren Rottet.
Artful and inspiring, the Cake Lamp is handmade in Italy from hand-etched crystal. Launched at l’Appartamento by Artemest during Milano Design Week 2024, it has a single vertically positioned bulb to cast even light from the center. When illuminated, the top comes to life, warming the room with soft light and playful shadows. The functional top is also removable so objects and precious treats can be uniquely displayed on the flat plate within a dome of light.
It measures 34.5 cm in diameter and 38 cm high (13.5-inches in diameter and 15-inches high)
